A horde of fans showed up to watch this fierce rematch. Maybe because of the random chaos and violence that happened last time these two disgusting teams met on the field. The crowd went wild from the first kickoff, encouraging both teams with extra vigour (rerolls). The low gods were first on attack, but lost the ball due to Fungus' ball n' chain clearing way for the (apparently) female gobbo Gerda. The troll, Bugga, spent the entire first half rolling around on the ground, pulling happily on different tentacles on the nurgle beast.
The pogo Langbein scooped up the ball somehow, outrunning all nurgle players except for Chargin' Chuck. Whom forced a score in turn five.
Being an exceptional coach, Gnulash got his team an extra reroll on the next drive, but could not reach the line in time.
Due to the crowds fascination with chainsaws, the poor ref realized he had to give an extra bribe to each team, in round 9, if he wanted to avoid bodily harm after giving Halvan the red card. This meant Fungus would be on for the entire match! Making life difficult for the lords of Ruin. Blodstrupmoen got tossed over the entire field, and could walk the ball in during round 10. The nurgle beast was so frustrated, it charged headlong into Fungus' wrecking ball. It got completely splattered, and we were sure it was dead. Apparently it regenerated, and pulled itself back together behind the stalls. Both coaches put their players to a hard talk, and pushed even further rerolls to the table. Ugga spent most of second half catching the ball, ignoring all distractions, but could not manage to move it forward enough to make any further difference. |
