Expensive mistakes! As there are more active teams in AnBBL at present, fan rivalry and wardrobe thievery has become more common.
The previous AnBBL guarantee against expensive mistakes for any treasury up to 200kgp can no longer be enforced by the AnBBL Staff, hence expensive mistakes now starts at 100kgp (as in all the other BB2020 rules based leagues). |

Norse rosters adjusted again! The rules comitee has implemented the Norse roster changes as foretold in "Spike! Issue 14".
Illegal players (Norse Throwers and Norse Catchers) will be illegible for redrafting.
Any illegal players actively playing at the start of next season will be put on the bounty lists by the AnBBL Staff, getting the same treatment as Hrolf (Norse Runners were made illegal after only a brief attendance during LRB5, between the LRB4 and the CRP). |

Fan Club Regulations Due to lack of or too much sideline brutality, the BB2020 rules committee implemented new Fan Club Regulations:
- No more than 7000 members can ever be in a team fan club, restricting dedicated fans (DF) to maximum 7.
- A minimum of 1000 members are required for every team's fan club, restricting DF to minimum 1.
All AnBBL teams have been compensated for reducing their fan clubs with 10k gold coins pr DF above 7, some getting more than others due to various fan club sizes. I.e: as a result Slaves of Succubus had to reduce their fan club membership lists from 22000 to 7000, thus compensated with 150kgp. |

Of 30 killed thralls, 17 played for BATtling Cobras.
Of 3 killed vampires, 2 played for BATtling Cobras.
If this fact correlates with matches dragging out beyond dawn or with injuries caused before the vampires learned to control their blood lust when feeding on their thralls remains unknown.
If the trend continues now that the blood lust has been stilled remains to be seen, but the animal savagery of vampires might still prove brutal.. |

Semi Pro XVII MVPs Finally, as expected, Semi Pro Season XVII ends today. This is the award ceremony.
The MVP Defence has never* been more contested in one season during AnBBL history.
None managed to win it alone as a total of 4 players tied for the MVP DEFENCE award this season, all with 14 defensive SPPs. Here are the winners:

BB2020 Rules effective Hi there!
All teams and players are now retrofitted to and allowed into the BB20 rules regime.
The new rules means a lot of the players can improve and learn more skills, go check it out in your administration offices.
The Skaven teams has been hit the hardest, with a lot of MA 10 players now only having MA9 (as pr the max in according to the new rules) - They've got their SPPs back.
Also a few throwers with safe throw now has safe pass while some have cloud burster (if they also had strong arm that was converted into cannoneer).
Some players have an SPP debt, showing as -SPP available for upgrades. They'll have to repay the bank before they can develop further, but the award is that they most likely got an early stat upgrade.
The match report sheets have been improved to accommodate new events, like pass deflection, and draft lists are upgraded with new core skills pr position.

Race towards BB20! AnBBL will convert to BB20 rules when ROTYL XX and Elite Season XIII finish.
The plan is to finish them by end of February - beginning of March 2021.
The Elite Season XIII playoffs have begun.
The ROTYL XX tournament is in its final week of the season, soon closing to reveal the playoff contenders!
The Semi Pro XVI will also end when the two mentioned tournaments ends, to give room for new rules and new player contracts..

Two new teams enter the Elite Season XIII, expanding the season from three to five rounds, after hard negotioations with their coaches. Hooves of Hashut make a long overdue comeback, their last match beeing played roughly 13 years ago, and Ratten Kameraten enter the party as rats to a festering carcass..
#WILDCARD effects:
The AnBBL Staff has conducted intervues with former AnBBL players and written contracts* with a select few, contracts* that will allow their re-entry to the league if certain conditions* are met during Season XIII.
As Nuln Gunners had no former players to contract, the AnBBL Staff instead gave their loyal fans startup capital for a particular Trust Fund, the "Nuln Gunners' Bounty Trust", and the contact details to hire a very special assistant coach..

Semi Pro XV ends Due to the start of Nellie's Leage B-Cup, Semi Pro XV came to an abrupt end. 27 teams completed 25 matches, scoring 77 touchdowns and inflicted 120 casualties.
The resumé of matches can be seen here, though there is no winners except the MVPs in the Semi Pro.
Barag Galopp was the undisputed winner of MVP offence for making 7 of the 9 touchdowns Motbydelig Horde 1994 scored this season. MVP defense was awarded 4(!) players. Including veteran wardancer Antti Over, blocker Øglegunn Røiseland, up and coming wardancer Kollos, and the now late blocker Ori Thaggorakuzkulaz . Having continued to play after a serious back injury, Ori Thaggorakuzkulaz was killed in Zebrano Zephyrs - Motbydelig Horde 1994 (Semi Pro XV, semipro) by Antti Over which looks like a deliberate attempt for Zebrano Zephyrs to gain the glory of MVP defense for Semi Pro XV. Nice.

Åker NS win Nellie's League Åker Nihilistiske Sportsmønstring defeat both Lightspeed Champions and the theory of general relativity by winning 3-2 in the final game of the season. The game was about to go into overtime when Marx ripped the ball from Alysheba's sure hands, granting Luxemburg the chance to score the winning touchdown.
As well as the honour of owning the golden juggs of Nellie, Åker Nihilistiske Sportsmønstring was granted 100,000 gold coins.
Runner up Lightspeed Champions got to take home the slighty smaller silver juggs of Nellie and a useful 60,000 gold. Børstad Beers and Underworld Overlords has been awarded 30,000 gold each.

Nellie's Curse Unfortunately, it turns out that the rumors of the health problems linked to Pubben Nellie are true. One random lineman in each of the teams that completed Nellie's league has caught the awful side effects of spending too much time at the pub. The player will suffer from the effects of Nellie's Curse until the day they die.
Like many of the patrons at Pubben Nellie, a player suffering Nellie's Curse gets the skills Decay and Foul Appearance.

Nellie's League Comes to an End As 2017 has come to an abrupt end, Puben Nellie will host the league finals on Sunday 7th on January. Since Underworld Overlord was unable to break the laws of general relativity, Lightspeed Champions will be the first of the contender of the match.
This was settled in Lightspeed Champions - Underworld Overlords (Nellie's A-Cup, semi-final). Rumor has it that head coach Hannibal Hector disbanded the team after the defeat.
The opponent is yet to be decided due to difficulties arranging a semi final.
In case Åker Nihilistiske Sportsmønstring - Børstad Beers (Nellie's A-Cup, semi-final) is not played by 5.30 pm on Sunday, the other contender will be decided as follows:
Coin toss between Børstad Beers and Åker Nihilistiske Sportsmønstring
In case of a failed coin toss, the contender will be selected in league order.

MVP system renewed! The old system with random MVPs is broke, how could we let the fans decide all these years??
We got strange results like Massa Khan receiving the MVP even though Bulli Khan clearly did much better in their match against the lustrian frogs.
Also one could argue against getting seriously injured beeing a way for you to become the best player of the match, like Arnie the Squealer clearly did in Cleveland Brown Rats - Stix & Stonez (Season XI, SC, Round 1).
In the latter example the match was a bit boring, and very disappointing for the Cleveland fans, the rats loosing against an undead team, hence the mauling of one of their players could easily be the most exciting moment in the match..
Enough of that now though, measures have been made to counter that random craziness allowing the coaches to nominate their three best players for a comitté to choose from.

ROTYL XVI Suddenly Finished To make room for an upcoming new season, the current Rookie Of The Year League, ROTYL XVI, was closed and awards given.
The Winners Trophy went to Wampire Counts von Norway, as a sign of glory, a ticket to the champions cup and with a money prize of 50.000gp.
The MVP Defence was shared between Urghor and Nutsar Euns Afebyfoot, each given 50.000gp for their team, a 100.000gp bounty and becoming Fan Favourites.
The MVP Offence was handed to Claws von Coldcurse, also earning 50.000gp to team treasury, the fan favourite stamp and a bounty of 100.000gp.
The ending of these meager beginnings should pave the way for a new ROTYL, the ROTYL XVII. |

First Online AnBBL Match Played Firey Tigers won against Smellham Skulltakers in the first online game played ever in the AnBBL.
The system used was the Blood Bowl Chaos Edition from Cyanide, purchased via Steam.
First:
- Set up match, print roster from AnBBL pages
Then create your team in Blood Bowl Chaos Edition:
- start a new campaign with correct race roster
- press quit in campaign to "export your team"
- quit campain and go to team editor
- purchase players in correct order (player jersey numbers can't be edited...)
- edit each player with name and skills (injuries cannot be edited either, the biggest drawback, fan factor can not be bigger than 9 :( and treasury cannot be correctly edited..)
- play multiplayer LAN game, one hosting and one joining through direct IP.
Then Play the match
- stay inside the program until the match report sheet is completely filled out, as this one of games don't get recorded after you quit.
Manually:
- roll for winnings and fan factor
- fill in match report online
- approve and wait for commish to approve
Works better than nothing, but is not as good as it should be.. I'll contact Cyanide, and also experiment with FUMBBL java client and Blood Bowl II possibilities.

World Cup Italy Preparations for the world cup in Lucca, Italy, has begun!
Wampire Counts von Norway, coached by me The Ref, will be representing Team Anarchy at this every 4.th year event. Wampire Counts von Norway will be 1 out of 6 teams partaking in the Danish national team, Danish Dynamite.
The world cup is suuuuper early on everything, with registration of teams already in March this year
As the rosters were sent to Italy October 14.th, but this time limit was given to me on monday 12th... I'm hoping there is some way to alter the roster after some test matches, as I'm used to delivering rosters at arrival to tournaments and hence were planning to do some experimenting before then as there's been some years since I last coached a rookie vampire team..
The Danish Dynamite consists of mostly tier 3 teams, so it'll be a tough run to not end up at the bottom :) At least we can drink beer without fearing it will have a huge impact on our results.. Haha :) |

League Favourites Punished! Big time favourites and current AnBBL Champions Duftham Skulltakers did not make it to the Season VIII playoffs! Why? The Punishment!!
Having played only 6 games, a punishment of 12 points is deducted from Duftham Skulltakers' league points, hence dropping below the fine line of playoff attendance.
Unmatematical fans go wild, not understanding why a team with only to wins and no fan favourite like Draconian Devils come to the playoffs over the team that roster the most bruitish and wild player in the league. |

Rusty Skull Cup 2009 This years Spring Semi Pro Tournament will be the Rusty Skull Cup.
Hosted by the South Conference.
Coaches and teams should book April 9th in their calendars, as the whole day (from around 10.00 until midnight) will be used for the southern semi pro cup of the year.
It's an open tournament for all non elite teams, and will consist of around 4 rounds of matches.

Famous death! Our second most experienced player in the league, Gurgoile, was killed by Weedy in Jungelfeber - Lords of the Pit (Season VI, SC3). Despite his experience of 85 SPPs, Gurgoile was not clever enough to dodge the overgrown and dangerous lizzard..

Season VI started - first blood! The first ALPHA game of season VI, da Sneaky Runtz - BATtling Cobras (Season VI, NC1), was played 2008.08.13 and kickstarted the largest AnBBL according to schedule so far.
In this game the most dangerous player kill wize, Iggipiggi, was himself killed - rewarding BATtling Cobras the 40000gp bounty. Iggipiggi will be rememberd for his heroic effort in season IV, killing 3 players, his victims beeing Gerbert, Jingu and Haluelie von Coldcurse(the vampire regenerated though). That's not bad for a goblgobl(in)!
Strangely even da Sneaky Runtz seemed relieved when Iggipiggi's time of death was announced, and some speculations have been made whether the apothecary's injecton had been tampered with or not...
Nonetheless - a great warrior will be greatly missed by the AnBBL fans! |

Myklagaard Hounddogs won the AnBBL Champions final -Congratulations!
Heimlich von Doom outsmarted everybody in SC, and surprisingly won the South Conference not with Azgorh Ravens, as predicted, but with the higly agile, leaping Bordellaux Broncos.
In the Final, however, The Ref refused to be run over (or certainly not leapt over) by fragile elves, and he finally ended up winning 3-2. Congratulations once again. |

Wildcard wins SC Championship! Bordellaux Broncos suprise everybody as they enter the SC playoffs using the Wildcard rule, winning the whole shebang!
This is the first time a Semi Pro team use this rule, and the very first time a semi pro team wins a Conference Championship.
Bordellaux Broncos will battle the Myklagaard Hounddogs for the AnBBL Champions' Trophy in the AnBBL Champions' Final on Tuesday July 15th. |

The teams playing each Semi Final will be decided by a lot at the start of the respective playoffs.
* Ballistic Angels cannot participate, whoever gets them as opponent will "win" the Semi Final by walkover, though no game will be recorded, and the team will not earn winnings, TD's or other "playing the game perks". The same goes for the NC team getting to the bronze final.
All playoff games must be added as a result no later than July 13th. |

The Punishment Season V For season V, 8 games never got played. 1 in ALPHA SOUTH OSLO, and 7 in ALPHA NORTH. In ALPHA SOUTH HAMAR all the scheduled games were played :)
Per the agreement mentioned at the bottom line in the entry forms for the alpha seasons, a fine sounding 20 000gp have been issued to the teams per match they did not play.
The following players are fined 20.000gp in season V:
Ste El, Zplit Tounge, Birger Sokneskaret, Thjolldir, Fenris, Frey, Nargit, Greebomb, Clobberdug, Nobnob, Saevus and Monstrum
The following players are fined 40.000gp in season V:
Yargh and Apodemus Sylvaticus
Due to lack of treasury on most teams, AnBBL Staff had to sponsor 160 000gc to bounty the fined players.
When it comes to points, theese are the rulings:

You Bet From now on it is possible to get excited even when other coaches are playing, since you can bet on the outcome of the game. You can also enhance the excitement for yourself by betting in one of your own matches, but if this is the case you are restricted to bet that you beat your opponent.
This is an excellent way for earning cash for bruised teams ;)
As a test odds have been set for the match <no such match> in the thread "Die Buchmacher". Later on focus will be on the semis and finals in both SC and NC. For the next seasons it will also be possible to bet on the finalists and final result in the lague, but this has to be done before the first A-match for the season is played.

Variety of the League There are now 40 teams in the League, representing 19 different races. That´s not bad, considering there are only 21 official races playing Blood Bowl. The only races missing in the league are Amazon and Halfling (not really, for the latter one).
The most popular race in the League are
Skaven,
with 12,5% of the total teams, followed by
Necromantic and Orc,
both with 10%. Another relatively popular option is
Chaos, Dark Elf, Human and Norse,
each with a 7,5% share of the total number of participants. |

Our very own SUPER STAR Willy Vånd is the first player in the AnBBL's history beeing a SUPER STAR. He has outrun the leagues first star Ivan Shureglove by 14 SPPs, and will probably continiue increasing the gap to the players behind him on the list of AnBBL's most experienced players. (Unless someone cash in that bounty, eherm...)
There's a lot of emerging stars in the league too. Players like the agile Alatuah Battlepotion, the allrounder Ianus von Fogspirit and the confident Busbyr are only a few examples amongst many emerging stars.
Time will tell who will live to be the first AnBBL Legend, so stay tuned! |

NC Final The NC Final, Purple Bluebirds - Wychwetyl's Troupe (Season IV, NC Final), have been arranged as Wychwetyl's Troupe defeadet Ballistic Angels 3-0 in the long prolonged NC Semi Final.
There will be no NC third place match, unless it can be played and registered before this wednesday 23:59hrs.
The AnBBL will be closed for a week from wednesday. In this period the coaches should enter their elite teams for season V, no games will be registered.
All other teams will automatickly be entered in the semi pro's league, unless their coach tell me to retire them. |

Nearing end of season IV The season is almost over, only awaiting the two last matches in NC playoffs. The problems with Kadrin Kazad (beeing currently closed cause of water in the main tunnel) cause the AnBBL Champions' Final having to be decided by a lot. This will be done shortly before season V is initiated.
Pre season matches (too get your elite teams a few practice matches) are now allowed. Use the forum to request them if you want to play them :)
(This means the elite teams are not locked to play other elite teams, but can play any team for the sake of practice)
Theese matches will not give you points or a trophy, but will help your players improve / retire ;)
Planned opening of next season is February 1st. |

The Punishment! With 6 cancelled games, North Conference gets fined a total 360 000 gp, of wich 260 000gp are paid by the teams and 100 000 gp paid by AnBBL Staff
South Conference is the most playing conference this season, with only 4 games cancelled. The total fine is 280 000 gp, 140 000 paid by the teams, 140 sponsored by AnBBL Staff.
The shortest straw players are:

Our second star has emerged! By scoring 5 TD's in Ratten Kameraten - Iron Rock 69'ers (Season IV, SC 3), Willy Vånd is the second player of the AnBBL ever to reach status as a STAR. With 15 TD's total, and 59 SPPs - Willy Vånd at this time also is the second most top scoring and second most experienced player in the AnBBL, an achievement worth celebrating as Willy Vånd first entered the AnBBL in season III.

Playoffs South Conference -edit On July 19th, the South Conference playoffs will be held at Stange, hosted by coach of Ratten Kameraten.
The games will be randomly decided by a lot, as soon as the last game of the season, Elve Elegante - Lords of the Pit (Season III, SC round 5), is played. This game is played July 18th - kickoff 2200.
The two semi finals will be played with kickoff about 2200 hours.
The two winning teams will go to the finals, with kickof about 0100 hours, the two loosing teams fight for the bronze trophy at the same time.
Be aware of possible changes.

Playoffs The season has ended. The last game between Lucky 13 and Wychwetyl's Troupe was cancelled due to family increase, a lucky strike for Ballistic Angels who's now ensured a place in the playoffs.
The four contestants for the trophy are:

Who meets who for the Semi finals will be decided randomly by a "lottery" May 11th. |

Player Portraits! Finally - a new invention!
Photo sessions are set up all over the old world, as the new invention - a photon aparatus - is taken into use.
Now I, the commish, can upload player pictures for a more suiting profile on the AnBBL players. By editing a players profile, the coach can select the uploaded pictures.

Playoffs season 2 Suddenly a playoff may be held for season 2 on Saturday May 19th... This in an attempt to snatch the current champions title under the southern teams' noses.
The playoffs might be postponed until first chance a southern team can attend,or working LRB5 online resources are awailable, but this is very unlikely...

Wednesday night football Hi there again coaches.
I summon you all to come and play a match at my place on wednesday (April 11th). Hopefully the wednesday night fotball "tradition" may continiue to set root in our minds.
Kickoff is around 20:00hrs.
I'm stuck at my place, thats why it's there this week too.. Tomorrow we'll agree upon another place for next time if requested. Please feel free to enter the election to host ;)

Hi all,
Well since The Ref has gone south to get some matches in Group South in season 2 it`s left to moi to get some matches organised up here during Easter. Per now we`re planning on playing a match or two at Azmodai`s house next sunday (not the coming).

Kick off tourney - February 16th. This years kickoff for AnBBL will be held 16th of February at Setermoen. (Interested? Email me)
It'll be a knock out tournament, with a time limit of 1 hour per game, though normal time for the Final. So it'll be speedy, and you might not get to play the game to tha finish. This is due to limited amount of time. Only one team per coach, sign up via the administration menu (Enter a team to season one).
Rules as stated in the League Rules menu.
The trophy will be revealed before the final.
Tip: Plan your players skill choices, so it's fast and furious to update the team rosters after each game.
