First game of the season was held in Stange, Norway. Blizzard outside, Very sunny inside!
Draconian Devils wins the cointoss and decide to open the game with the kick.
With their kicker placed on the bench the ball bounces of the pitch for a touchback.
Being stalled with high armour rolls from Draconian Devils and a rat-ogre that got a thing for "1- rolls", it takes Ratten Kameraten 4 turns to score. At this point they had 2 players K.O.'d and one serious injured.
The half ended in Draconian Devils's favor, as they turtled in a last turn TD and K.O.'ing even more rats. All came back on due to the induced bloodwiser babe.
The second half Draconian Devils recieved. And with 3 injured players  Forest Gimp have to enter the field.
The ball bounces off the pitch once again, and Forest Gimp gets the ball.
As Nozdormu fears the fast and agile Gutter Runner's he moves his team slowly and controlled up the pitch, injuring and sending of as many rats as he can on his way.
This results in many beaten rats, and when there is 2 turns left, there is only 2 brave rats left on the field. 10 elves controlling every move.
Now, the story could have been very different, if Rattus Norvegicus had managed one of his; GFI, dodge (with break tackle), stand up's, move's or even one of his Loner tests.
He did actually pass one Loner test when he failed a GFI. But only to trip in his tail once more!
When he finaly got so close to Draconian Devils's ball carrier, in round 6 of the second half - he fall once more and Nozdormu sees no other option but to foul him out in the K.O. box.
When Draconian Devils kicks after his last turn TD, Ratten Kameraten have a teoretical chance of getting another TD. The ball are kicked right off the pitch, making it slightly easyer for Hannibal. But, faith strikes once more - there's a riot and the ref decides to end the game as it stands!!!
Together with unlucky dicerolls from Hannibal Hector, and a tactic that worked like a charm, Draconian Devils takes home this seasons first victory. |
